Soquel does not really have a downtown so much as a stretch of Main Street with antique shops, a creek behind it and houses climbing away on both sides. Uphill, 1970s and later builds on half-acre and larger parcels, two stories, more glass, wood interiors and a stove in the main room. Very little of Soquel is under an HOA, which means no vendor paperwork but also no shared maintenance to lean on.

Yes, they are a large part of the Soquel book. Expect a visit that takes a little longer per square foot: narrow stairs, awkward corners where an addition met the original house, and window sash that needs care rather than force. Pricing still follows bedroom and bathroom count, so a small cottage stays at the low end.
