Inside Buena Park homes
The land is flat, the blocks are regular, and most of the housing went in during the twenty years when the theme parks were pulling people to this part of the county. What that produced is a lot of similar houses carrying dissimilar lives. Off Crescent Avenue and Knott Avenue you will find three-bedroom homes with a converted garage, a second kitchen setup, and five or six adults using one shared bathroom every morning.
Cleaning that well means going where the wear actually is. Grout lines, range hoods, cabinet fronts by the cooker and the floor around a laundry pair take the load. Nearer Los Coyotes and along the newer infill closer to Buena Park Downtown, the houses are larger and the pattern is more conventional, but the principle holds: we quote off rooms and then spend the time where the house is being used hardest.
What we walk into in Buena Park
Typical stock is 1,100 to 1,600 square feet on a single level with three bedrooms, a slab floor and an attached garage, built between roughly 1955 and 1972. Ceramic tile in kitchens and baths has usually been replaced at least once; bedrooms are carpet or laminate. Newer townhome and small-lot detached projects add two-story plans with association parking rules. Heavy cooking is common, so kitchen degreasing counts for more here than in a city of the same size and vintage elsewhere.
